Practical
aspects of giving a rosary
Giving a rosary is easy to do. You simply
read it aloud.
Obviously, you can read the rosary right from your computer, but most
people prefer to print the rosary.
Where
do I give a rosary?
You can do it anywhere, but most people prefer
to sit in a private, quiet room, where they can remain undisturbed for
the 20 or so minutes it takes to give a complete rosary (you can give
a partial rosary if you don't have time for a full one).
You can sit at your computer and give a rosary, but most people prefer
to sit in a more comfortable chair. Sit in a somewhat upright, but comfortable
position. It helps the energies flow better.

Can
you give a rosary in a car? Sure, but to be safe, you would have to
either know the rosary by heart of give it along with a CD. We have
CDs with recordings of most rosaries.
You can play the CD and even if you don't know the entire rosary, you
can give the Hail Marys and still get a great effect.
When
do I give a rosary?
You
can give a rosary any time. Some people like to give one in the morning
because the effect carries through the day and often makes your day
easier. This is especially true for rosaries that invoke spiritual protection,
such as Archangel Michael's rosary or the Daily Growth Rosary.
How
do I actually read the rosary?
The only thing you really need to know is that all rosaries are structured
with a combination of specific and general – or repeated –
affirmations. The specific affirmations describe specific conditions
that the rosary works on. The general affirmations are repeated either
before or after the specific affirmations.
To
give a rosary,
simply start reading at the beginning. A rosary always starts with the
following paragraph:
In
the name of the unconditional love of the Father, the Son, the Holy
Spirit and the Miracle Mother, Amen.
(Insert personal prayer here)
Some people like
to make the sign of the cross as they give the starting paragraph, but
you don't have to.
At this point you
can give a –short or long as you prefer – prayer or invocation
to dedicate the rosary to a specific purpose. For example, if you are
dealing with a specific problem that you would like to see resolved,
describe the situation in specific detail and ask for the resolution
of it. Don't forget to ask for the highest possible outcome—which
we can't always see with our outer minds. So you might say: "In
the name of the Christ, I ask
for . . ." Or you might end the prayer with: "In accordance
with the highest vision of Christ, let it be done." Or "In
accordance with God's will, let it be done."
You then continue
to read the next affirmation. After that follows the individual sections
of the rosary and most rosaries have four main sections. You read the
title of the section (if there is one). After that you will see either
a specific or a general affirmation, such as the Hail Mary. For example,
here is the first section of the Miracle Rosary:
Hail
Mary
Hail
Mary, one with Grace,
the Lord is with us through you.
Blessed are we by your miracle Grace,
and by the miracle love of your son, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of Miracles,
we surrender our fears, now and forever.
We accept God’s unconditional love,
and see the Miracle Kingdom manifest on Earth. (One time only)
Affirmation of the
Inner Christ
In the name of Jesus Christ,
I call to beloved Mary, Mother of Miracles.
Teach me the miracle of holding the immaculate concept
for myself, for all life and for the Earth.
Teach me the miracle of complete surrender to God
that I too may say from the bottom of my soul:
“Oh Lord, be it unto me according to your will.”
Give
Hail Mary.
I hereby surrender all that stands in the way
of the manifestation of God’s miracle in my life.
Oh God, I surrender myself completely unto you.
Oh God, I withhold nothing from you.
Oh God, I give my all to you.
Hail Mary
Obviously, when it
says "Hail Mary" you read the entire Hail Mary affirmation.
It is the repetition of these affirmations that gives the rosary its
rhythm and makes it such a powerful ritual.
For the miracle rosary,
you repeat the rosary four times but for all other rosaries you just
read straight through. The rosary always ends
with a sealing, and it it important to give it even if you give only
a partial rosary.
